HOLLYWOOD – Tonight, La La Land was announced the winner of the Oscar for best picture. It was however, not the winner for best picture. Halfway through LaLa Land’s acceptance speech, it was announced that Moonlight had actually won the award. Upon hearing this news, Hillary Clinton was filled with new hope.
“It hasn’t been that long since the election. There’s still time for Warren Beatty to run on stage and apologize for reading the wrong name,” Hillary Clinton yelled from the window of her home in Upstate New York. She is reportedly currently putting on a pantsuit which had been in a dry cleaner bag for 3 months, and getting ready to hit the campaign trail again.
Warren Beatty has called Clinton multiple times to try and explain that he was not responsible for announcing the results of the 2016 election, just the Oscar for Best Picture. Clinton reportedly let these calls go to voicemail because she was busy looking for her car keys to drive back to Washington DC.
Clinton did however contact reporters saying “Barry Jenkins and I have the same story. He made the obviously better movie. I won the popular vote.” Clinton supporters are less optimistic about her chances at the presidency. According to our sources, They are resigned to Trump being president but are just glad they got to see Moonlight win over a movie about white people dancing.
